Malinda Hoagland, 12, was found 'barely alive' by police on May 4 after her father Rendall Hoagland called 911 claiming she had crashed her bicycle on a tree. The girl, who weighed just 50 pounds, died just hours after arriving at the hospital, where officials were shocked by her condition, which included heavy bruising, half a dozen broken bones and liver damage. Hoagland, 52, and his fiancé Cindy Warren, 45, were charged in connection to her death two days later. DailyMail.com reviewed the couple's social media and can reveal that Malinda disappeared from her dad's Facebook in early January, while the couple continued posting images of Wilson's nine-year-old Gavin.

A recent study has revealed the incomes necessary for families to live comfortably across the United States - and the stark contrast in the cost of living between states is startling.  The study revealed that in the most expensive states, families need nearly $300,000 to simply live 'comfortably.' The least expensive state requires about half that salary - still over $100,000.  Meanwhile, the average annual salary in the US is $59,428, or $28.34 per hour, as of May 2024.

The graduation ceremony for the historically black college's College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences was shut down before the keynote address at the Cramton Auditorium in Washington DC. Relatives of some of the graduates were seen on video chanting and smashing glass as the ceremony began on Thursday.

The news comes after a shocking beauty pageant scandal, which saw both Miss USA 2023 and Miss Teen USA 2023 announcing that they were resigning within days of each other amid reports of bullying and harassment. Miss USA Noelia Voigt, 24, first shared her surprise resignation via Instagram, explaining that she wanted to focus on her 'physical and mental well-being.' It was then followed by 17-year-old Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava announcing she too was stepping down because her personal values 'no longer fully align with the direction of the organization.'

Auditions for a hotly contested spot on the cheer squad representing the team, which has thrice won the Super Bowl in the 2020s, are blowing up on Instagram. On May 3, judges welcomed finalists for in-person tryouts at the Chief's home venue or Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Barzan Kamal Majeed, nicknamed 'Scorpion', was arrested in Iraq by the Kurdistan Region's security forces on Monday, according to reports. Majeed, a former Nottingham mechanic, had been missing since November 2022 when he failed to appear in court in Belgium for a sentencing hearing after having been convicted of trafficking offences. Majeed, in a recent interview with the BBC , admitted that between 2016 and 2019 he was one of two people running a people smuggling gang in Belgium and France. He did, however, deny being the boss of the operation, alleging that other gang members tried to implicate him to reduce their sentences.

After becoming embroiled in a fierce scandal, the duo seemed to have captured the hearts of fans once again - this time with a little help from Campbell's mom.

Kayo Martin - a teen influencer with 123k followers on Instagram - crashed the event in NYC on Monday while the two fighters were taking questions from the crowd in an open mic format. Martin, whose Linktree bio says 'skateboarding, boxing, Day in the Life, Hoodrat shii,' provides a variety of content on his Instagram page, ranging from deli visits in New York to riding electric Citi bikes that are too tall for him. He even dangerously climbed onto a subway platform from train tracks once while narrowly avoiding a subway car passing by.

Zhang Jinxia, 28, was feeding his 17-month-old daughter as she sat in her stroller when she suddenly fell sideways, narrowly missing the tiled floor before he quickly grabbed her by her jumper. With the bowl of baby food still in his hand, Mr Jinxia pats his daughters back as she begins to cry from the shock. Luckily the baby was not hurt but he decided to push the pram away and keep her safe on his lap instead. The video was captured on May 4 in Hefei, southern China , and went viral on Chinese social media.

Ashley Deese(left), the daughter of Theresa Jones, 56, (right) said police had been stumped over her mother's disappearance, and criticized their investigation that was seemingly solved once medium Carolyn Clapper stepped in.  Ashley claimed medium Carolyn Clapper was able to provide eerily accurate details leading to the body, but remains unsatisfied as cops never spoke to her and ruled the death as an accidental drowning caused by methamphetamines. Clapper said: 'There would be a log, she kept showing me this pronounced log, a very big log in the woods.'
